Sites I've Been Loving

Sunday, August 29, 2010

Lately, I've been reconnecting with my internet obsession. I tried to ween myself from being online constantly. However, I'll be starting classes tomorrow and I felt like I deserved to have fun and let go before I have to start studying again (ugh!).
SO...With that being said, I compiled a list of some really fun/useful websites and my top websites for all of you.
Favorite Fashion/Beauty Sites:

This site is good for "Indie", up-to-date fashion in the U.S. It also features a place where you can upload your own styles/view others. Which is my favorite part. I love to criticize others haha.
I've been in love with this site since I found it a few years back. Japanese fashion has always been the best (in my opinion) and this site is PERFECT for seeing how Japanese men/women are following the trends...and which ones are actually catching on.

Shopping:
http://www.forever21.com/
Cheap, cute, convenient. What else is there to say really? haha
Just discovered this site for purchasing circle lenses. Very convenient for those in the U.S. Also, very cheap. Only $20 USD for each pair. However, I am very lazy and irresponsible with my lenses lately. I always forget about them and let them dry up. OOPS. Hubby said I should not buy anymore. ]:

Random:
http://www.luuux.com/
This site is honestly amazing. You get points for pretty much everything you do. Then, you can redeem them for VERY nice prizes!
Be sure to find me on Luuux.com. My name is (like usual) "Coco Tai". [:
...AND...If anyone asks, I referred you, bitches.

Blogs:

 http://chaigyaru.com/

OK, so out of ALLLL the blogs I follow, those are my favorites. AND, in absolutely no special order. Forreal, I'm too lazy to put them in order. haha.

Ok. So those are some sites I like to browse in my down time. Hope you enjoyed and are now obsessed like myself and losing valuable time so I'm not the only one. haha.

Ouchies!

I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed. Ouchies! No fun.

Now I have HUGE, BRUISED CHEEKS!

So, I've never had it easy with dental issues.

Had four baby teeth pulled. Then four permanent teeth (No, I do NOT have nasty teeth, just a small mouth with not enough space). Then had braces for about two years. Then had two more baby teeth pulled (they just would not come out!).  AND, now I had four, impacted wisdom teeth extracted. Yay!

I was so terrified! I hate surgeries...especially ones that hinder my eating abilities >.<

At the moment, I still cannot eat solid foods, because my cheeks get in the way. UGH! I'm craving anything solid and veg-friendly! haha

ANYWAY,

Here are some rather embarrassing photos of my suffering that I did not plan on sharing. However, this only happens once, right? Might as well bask in my nastiness. haha.

I believe this photo was the day after my surgery?

2 days after surgery?

UP CLOSE CHUBBY CHEEKAGE!

This was taken today (4 days after surgery?)...while eating my mediocre mashed sweet potatoes.

Oh yes, by the way, I have been dirtballin' it in the same shirt. In the words of Hubby Coco, " DON'T JUDGE ME!" haha.

Anyone else ever have some lovely, impacted wisdom teeth out? I'd love to hear your adventures and perhaps what all you ate.

BYEZZZZ.

Gowoonsesang Hydra Intensive Blemish Balm

Monday, August 9, 2010

| | | Comments: (0)
While I was in Taiwan with Hubby, I was on a mission to find a great BB cream for myself. I heard about the "Gowoonsesang (Dr. G) Hydra Intensive Blemish Balm"...So, I figured I'd make Hubby drive me on the moped to the nearest Sasa in Taoyuan. [:

I then managed to find it upstairs. The lady working there was really nice and asked if I needed any information etc. on BB creams...but NOPE...I knew EXACTLY what I wanted teehee.

I honestly think shop owners etc. are either weary about me stealing merchandise or something, because I'm "American"...or they just think I have A LOT of money and want me to BUY, BUY, BUY...which I was planning on shopping my brains out anyway DUH! haha.

Anyway, BB creams are not commonly found in the U.S. Therefore, since they're such an "Asian thing", they are generally made for Asian skin types and the wants/needs that come along with them.

Therefore, I definitely had to compile my own list of wants/needs. Which is pretty much as follows:

1. Must be hydrating, but not oily. My skin is dry and likes to flake. However, it does get oily still. Pffft. Such a problem child! haha.
2. Mustn't be so whitening! I am naturally white enough. However, I do have a yellow undertone to my skin (awkwardly enough). SO, I was lucky that colors of Asian makeups do match my skin.
3. The color and consistency had to be blend-able and match my skin (that's a given). Like A LOT of BB creams, the color goes on REALLY light. However, this one seems to, with time, blend to match your skin rather well. However, I do still recommend this to those with lighter skin tones, because the more layers you put on, the lighter it seems to become.

So, I camwhore with product just for proof that I do own and use it I guess? haha. Sorry. Beware of awkward faces and weird, pushed-back mullet-like hair?

I didn't realize my hair was still so awkward like that. I had originally pushed it back so I could wash my face without it becoming soaked. WTF. haha

Anyway, the product lightens your skin a little like this. Then it blends and covers very nicely.

What I like most about this product: It doesn't upset the balance of my skin, causing breakouts or anything. It is also a very nice liquid, but seems to mattify nicely, giving a dew-y but fresh look.

If after reading my post about such a GREAT BB CREAM, I'm sure all the females' mouths are watering, no? So you must be wondering where and how much, right? (probably not, because I'm really not so convincing, but just play along for my sanity and happiness). Well...

I'm not sure how much I payed for it. However, I was nice enough to look it up on the Sasa website and it is currently selling for $32 USD. If you wish to purchase it, click the "Sasa Website" link above. [: Ah I'm so helpful...

Ok byezzzzz.

PS. Sorry about my absence. That is because I had the dreaded duh duh duh duh ....WEESDUMMM TEEF EXTRACTION!  There will probably be a post about that in the near future...depends on how confident I am with showing everyone those photos...

Here's another vain, almost-all-photos post, simply because I'm lazy, yet still want to get some post in.

WARNING: NO PHOTOSHOP USED ON THIS POST EITHER! BEWARE OF MY FACE.

Anyway, he's a funny, old photo I found. Me trying to be "tribal" with a necklace from Taiwan. Funny, no?

Anyway, moving on...

I wanted to show you one of my favorite dresses from Forever 21. I love it, because you can either dress it up for a more formal look or dress it down for a semi-casual look.

Camwhore camwhore....        Sorry about the boob shots, wanted to show the sequin detail

More sparkly sequin boobs and some detail of the bow haha

CAMWHORE!

I love mirrors but I'm not so sure they feel the same about me haha.

PS. No comments regarding my fat arms, please.
