Wisdom Teeth(Image by tarale via Flickr)Hi. I know, I've been absent and the boring level of my blog has shot WAYYY UP. However, I've been busy recovering from the wisdom teeth extraction (excuses, excuses. I know. That was over two weeks ago). However, I had an issue with my mouth bleeding for about two days...and then it got infected...probably because I never used that stupid syringe thing. NOW, I'm chugging he Amoxicillin again. YAY ME. BUT, in my defense, every time I use the syringe with salt water, nothing comes out. WTF? Oh well. I've learned my lesson and will now be a good girl and use the (pointless) syringe. haha.
That was me biting down on tea bags, trying to stop the random bleeding. YUMMAY.

Mediocre Post About Mediocre Shampoos/Conditioners

Tuesday, August 10, 2010

While staying at Mommy Coco's, I used some new shampoos and conditioners and she even gave me some samples to try.

...AND the shampoos/conditioners I tried happened to be...

Dove Damage Therapy Intensive Repair Shampoo/Conditioner

Scent: Average shampoo/Conditioner smell. Nothing special.
Moisturizing: 7/10

I honestly do not know what to say about this product. It's nice for a drugstore product, but overall, nothing really stands out.

John Frieda Root Awakening Collection

Still not a product I would purchase. However, it does seem to lift your roots a tad. I was really NOT liking the shampoo since after I rinsed it out, my hair felt very dry and brittle. However, the conditioner seems to work rather well. It's not super moisturizing. However, it does the job for sure. My ends even feel smooth and squeaky clean.

Smells like: Juicy Fruit Gum mixed with anise

Suave Almond & Shea Butter Shampoo

Rather nice for a drugstore product. SMELLS AMAZING! JUST LIKE SHEA BUTTER! Sufficient moisturizing. However, I only tried the shampoo, not the conditioner.

That was my review on mediocre shampoos/conditioners. haha. It takes A LOT to impress me, if you're a hair product. I have rather dry, brittle hair at the ends (from past dying/bleaching). So, I need a product that can provide moisture without being so clingy and leaving residue. YUCK! haha.

Ouchies!

| | | Comments: (0)
I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed. Ouchies! No fun.

Now I have HUGE, BRUISED CHEEKS!

So, I've never had it easy with dental issues.

Had four baby teeth pulled. Then four permanent teeth (No, I do NOT have nasty teeth, just a small mouth with not enough space). Then had braces for about two years. Then had two more baby teeth pulled (they just would not come out!).  AND, now I had four, impacted wisdom teeth extracted. Yay!

I was so terrified! I hate surgeries...especially ones that hinder my eating abilities >.<

At the moment, I still cannot eat solid foods, because my cheeks get in the way. UGH! I'm craving anything solid and veg-friendly! haha

ANYWAY,

Here are some rather embarrassing photos of my suffering that I did not plan on sharing. However, this only happens once, right? Might as well bask in my nastiness. haha.

I believe this photo was the day after my surgery?

2 days after surgery?

UP CLOSE CHUBBY CHEEKAGE!

This was taken today (4 days after surgery?)...while eating my mediocre mashed sweet potatoes.

Oh yes, by the way, I have been dirtballin' it in the same shirt. In the words of Hubby Coco, " DON'T JUDGE ME!" haha.

Anyone else ever have some lovely, impacted wisdom teeth out? I'd love to hear your adventures and perhaps what all you ate.

BYEZZZZ.

Gowoonsesang Hydra Intensive Blemish Balm

Monday, August 9, 2010

While I was in Taiwan with Hubby, I was on a mission to find a great BB cream for myself. I heard about the "Gowoonsesang (Dr. G) Hydra Intensive Blemish Balm"...So, I figured I'd make Hubby drive me on the moped to the nearest Sasa in Taoyuan. [:

I then managed to find it upstairs. The lady working there was really nice and asked if I needed any information etc. on BB creams...but NOPE...I knew EXACTLY what I wanted teehee.

I honestly think shop owners etc. are either weary about me stealing merchandise or something, because I'm "American"...or they just think I have A LOT of money and want me to BUY, BUY, BUY...which I was planning on shopping my brains out anyway DUH! haha.

Anyway, BB creams are not commonly found in the U.S. Therefore, since they're such an "Asian thing", they are generally made for Asian skin types and the wants/needs that come along with them.

Therefore, I definitely had to compile my own list of wants/needs. Which is pretty much as follows:

1. Must be hydrating, but not oily. My skin is dry and likes to flake. However, it does get oily still. Pffft. Such a problem child! haha.
2. Mustn't be so whitening! I am naturally white enough. However, I do have a yellow undertone to my skin (awkwardly enough). SO, I was lucky that colors of Asian makeups do match my skin.
3. The color and consistency had to be blend-able and match my skin (that's a given). Like A LOT of BB creams, the color goes on REALLY light. However, this one seems to, with time, blend to match your skin rather well. However, I do still recommend this to those with lighter skin tones, because the more layers you put on, the lighter it seems to become.

So, I camwhore with product just for proof that I do own and use it I guess? haha. Sorry. Beware of awkward faces and weird, pushed-back mullet-like hair?

I didn't realize my hair was still so awkward like that. I had originally pushed it back so I could wash my face without it becoming soaked. WTF. haha

Anyway, the product lightens your skin a little like this. Then it blends and covers very nicely.

What I like most about this product: It doesn't upset the balance of my skin, causing breakouts or anything. It is also a very nice liquid, but seems to mattify nicely, giving a dew-y but fresh look.

If after reading my post about such a GREAT BB CREAM, I'm sure all the females' mouths are watering, no? So you must be wondering where and how much, right? (probably not, because I'm really not so convincing, but just play along for my sanity and happiness). Well...

I'm not sure how much I payed for it. However, I was nice enough to look it up on the Sasa website and it is currently selling for $32 USD. If you wish to purchase it, click the "Sasa Website" link above. [: Ah I'm so helpful...

Ok byezzzzz.

PS. Sorry about my absence. That is because I had the dreaded duh duh duh duh ....WEESDUMMM TEEF EXTRACTION!  There will probably be a post about that in the near future...depends on how confident I am with showing everyone those photos...

So, lately I've had a horrible heat rash on my back, around my side, and oh hey, yep, under my boob. Nice, eh? I feel like shit. Any suggestions for getting rid of heat rash? Should I go to the doctor? If I do, will they give me some meds and make it go away finally?

PLEASE GIVE ME ADVICE!

Thank you.

UPDATE: My ex-stepdad looked at it and said it was Shingles. I went to the E.R. like he suggested. It turns out, I, a 19 year old girl, has Shingles. I'm so terrified! ]:
